o Develop a student’s awareness of story and audience, pre-visualization, storyboarding, production pre-planning and teamwork for group production and address the specifics of animation, lighting, camera placement, framing and timing.
o Leading a group of students in the off-campus program to Tokyo Japan.
o Heading up the EA Professional Production Practices class –where the students get to work on actual assets for in production games from EA.
o Working closely with Department chair and other faculty to develop curriculum that prepares students for work in the industry.
Jan 2000-Dec 2005 – Director Fathom Studios, Atlanta GA
o Lead multidisciplinary team (5 – 30 team members) in the strategy, design, and production of the CGI feature animation film Delgo.
o Responsible for Pre-Visualization and Layout for Film-involving character staging/blocking, camera position, and animating cameras.
o Handle all voice over direction with celebrity talent.
o Develop and implement direction for Animation and Lighting teams.
o Work with the Sound Design Team and music Composer to ensure the sound supports and enhances the production’s visuals.
o Participated in all writing and story discussions and was one of the principle writers for film and creator of the world of Delgo.
o Due to limited staff size, had hands on participation in all facets of production.
o Personally did over eighty percent of all Pre-visualization and Layout for Film.
o Designed and helped implement the in house shot management system (Storyline) for viewing and tracking all shots in film.
